My Online Job

Been away from my haven for a while, I need to unwind to kill off some stressors that keeps on bugging me. Just like anyone else, I started my work in an office as a secretary. Though I was trained by my aunt who's a blogger on how to write articles, I didn't push it through, but then for some reasons, I started to write articles for a friend who's also a blogger and he pays me 65php for a 500-word article. While working in an office, this has been my part time job. I could earned almost 3,000php in 2 weeks time. Not a bad thing, right? As we all know, the minimum wage here in our country cannot cover all the necessary bills as well as basic necessities we need in order to satisfy our needs. So some of us needs to have an extra income.

Being an article writer takes time and patience to improve the way a writer writes his articles. It was not easy to make articles and submit it on time, and by the end of the day, it will be returned to you for some errors that needs to be corrected. I encountered that one and how it keeps me drained since writing needs to have a lot of brain neurons working. So I finally stop doing it when I was pregnant and just depend everything to my boyfriend. But then I came across Odesk and registered. I have seen a lot of working opportunities that fits my qualification, I bid and bid and bid but no one dared to hire me. I don't know why. hahaha. So I was browsing a local internet site for some homebased jobs and submitted resumes, massive submission of resume. Someone texted me if I could work on as a Website Product Manager, I was thinking of, "What are the tasks? Can I do it?" I was automatically hired as Website Product Manager, no interviews since its an urgent hiring, I was trained via Skype chat, no video calls even video tutorials, it was really hard for me but the technique was I read every details in the instructions provided, tried how it works then Yatta! I understood how it works :)

And now, I am working for this American Company for a year now as a Website Product Manager, I was lucky to have one of the nicest American employer in town who always taught me things every now and then about my tasks. He was so nice that I always thank God for giving me such a good person to work with. Being an employee who works at home, virtually takes a lot of patience as well as strategies on how to make your life lively and your work full of joy while staying at home but I can say, this made me survived for the entire year without depending on my parents or even my husband. I have my own income while taking good care of my 9-month old baby. Because I am blessed to be in this kind of industry, on my next blog I will share on how to enter the online industry and how to succeed.
